Piccolo Guitar with Reclaimed Wood

Piccolo Guitar with Reclaimed Wood

This guitar is about the size of a baritone ukulele.  It measures 10 1/8″ across the lower bout, is 3 1/4″ deep at the tail and 2 3/4″ deep at the heel.  The scale is 17 1/8.”  It is tuned from B to B’, identical to placing a capo at the 7th fret of a standard guitar.

The back and sides are maple from floor boards, the top is from a Douglas fir ceiling joist.  The neck, bindings, and lines between the maple pieces are all black walnut.
