Octave Mandolin
This octave mandolin features a carved Adirondack Red Spruce soundboard and a flat back of birdseye maple. The bindings, fretboard and bridge are ebony. The instrument has a 22″ scale. The body is 13 1/2″ wide at the lower bout, 3.15″ deep at the tail and 2.6″ deep at the heel. The tuning machines are Rubner. There is a K & K pickup installed on the soundboard. The addition of the two side ports allows the player to hear the mandolin more completely.
