Baritone Ukulele
This baritone ukulele was built with master grade curly koa for the body and is adorned with paua abalone inlays on the body, fretboard and peghead. The Honduran mahogany neck is laminated for extra strength. The neck is joined to the body with a Spanish heel, which is typical for classical guitars but not very common for ukuleles. The reason I take the extra time to build this joint is because the neck-body joint is so important to the sustain of the instrument. Precision geared Waverly tuners, bone nut and saddle, an ebony fretboard and a high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish complete the instrument.
